The German mechanical and plant engineering industry has always been able to build on its high innovative strength. However, medium-sized companies in particular quickly come up against personnel or financial limits in their research and development activities.

On January 1, 2020, the law on tax incentives for research and development (Research Allowance Act) came into force, bringing to an end a long struggle by the VDMA to introduce it in Germany. Research and development projects that can be classified as basic research, industrial research or experimental development are supported. The open nature of the topics and the ability to plan funding benefits the versatile mechanical and plant engineering sector. All companies subject to income or corporation tax are eligible for funding.

During the event, you will receive an overview of tax research funding, what you need to consider and how the VDMA supports you with this form of funding. Furthermore, we will offer you an overview of the funding landscape: What funding programs are currently available? Which programs are interesting for whom? What are the funding rates? We would like to discuss these and other questions with you at our event.

The event will take place online with the help of the IT tool GoToMeeting. You will receive the dial-in data with the registration confirmation. The webinar is aimed at specialists and managers from the fields of research and development, innovation and taxation.
