Das durch das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi) geförderte Projekt „Interoperable Interfaces for Intelligent Production“, kurz II4IP, zielt auf die Entwicklung branchenübergreifender OPC-UA-Standards.
Die VDMA Fachverbandsschrift Nahrungsmittelmaschinen und Verpackungsmaschinen Nr. 17 (2020) gibt Hinweise zur Durchführung und Auswertung mikrobiologischer Auswertungsverfahren, die z.B. bei Steril- und Standtests im Zuge der Inbetriebnahme von hygienischen Abfüllmaschinen der VDMA, Hygieneklassen IV und V zur Anwendung kommen.

The global Corona crisis has also led to high export losses for machinery and plant manufacturers. In 2020, machinery and equipment worth 160 billion euros were exported from Germany and imported for 67 billion euros. Exports were thus 12.0 per cent and imports 13.4 per cent lower than in 2019, as the Federal Statistical Office has reported on the basis of provisional figures.
